The male turkeys for breeding should be healthy and disease-free, tall, strong, lively, with shiny feathers and thick and straight legs. 

The female turkeys for breeding should be healthy and disease-free, with a docile temperament, a flat back and a straight tail and a chest. 

Wide-bodied, brightly colored with feathers and beards. Breeding chickens should be replaced for a period of time, purified and rejuvenated, and inferior breeds should be eliminated in time, and good breeds should be selected. 

Breeding female turkeys can be used for 2 years, and male turkeys can be used for 3-4 years.
