Fish Farming Diseases and Prevention

With the continuous expansion of the scale of shrimp farming in recent years, many people have devoted themselves to the industry of shrimp farming, but most farmers are troubled by shrimp diseases. It can be said that shrimp farming is fighting against shrimp diseases. The economic losses caused by shrimp diseases to shrimp farmers are very heavy. Therefore, how to avoid the outbreak of shrimp diseases has become the core of making farming money.

Diseases Prevention Fish Farming

There will be many diseases in the process of shrimp farming. If farmers want to avoid the occurrence of diseases, they must do prevention and treatment in advance, and determine the characteristics of the diseases and the reasons for the occurrence of diseases.

Types of Fish Diseases

1. Acute hepatopancreatic necrosis and death

The pathogen of the disease is a highly virulent Vibrio parahaemolyticus. After suffering from the disease, the liver of the prawns is enlarged, there is no food in the intestinal tract or the intestines are broken, and the mortality rate is high.

The diseased prawns grow slowly and eat poorly, and in severe cases, liver atrophy may occur.

2. Vitiligo Syndrome

The disease is mainly caused by white spot syndrome virus infection. The diseased prawns stop feeding, move sluggishly, become weak, roam on the surface of the water, and eventually die.

In addition, the breeding environment will also cause the appearance of white spot disease of shrimp, so the diagnosis and treatment of white spot syndrome is very complicated, and the mortality rate is high.

Once the outbreak occurs, it will often cause a devastating blow to farmers.

3. Prawn white stool

There is no unified conclusion on the pathogen of this disease. It is generally believed that it is caused by Vibrio, viruses, parasites, water quality, and deterioration of the substrate. The diseased shrimp eat poorly, and even stop eating. area of death.

If it is discovered earlier, it may be treated, but if it is discovered later, it is difficult to treat.

4. Torah Syndrome

The pathogen of the disease is mainly caused by infection with Taola virus. The whole body of the shrimp is red, especially in the tail.

It is also accompanied by symptoms such as soft shell and jejunum. The mortality rate is as high as 90%.

Symptoms belong to viral diseases, and there is no specific medicine for viral diseases on the market now, only prevention is the main focus.

Prevention of Fish diseases

For the prevention of fish diseases mentioned above, there must be specific prevention and treatment plans. However, due to space limitations, we will introduce them in detail later.

The following will focus on 3 general characteristics of disease prevention in spring:

1. Choose High-quality Fish

When choosing shrimp seedlings, you must choose shrimp seedlings with good local reputation and large manufacturers.

At the same time, you should look at the seedlings in advance before buying seedlings, and do a good job in hepatopancreas inspection, vitality test, etc.

2. Fertilize hydroponic algae to adjust water quality

The color of the water to be cultivated in the early ponds needs to be selected according to the conditions of the pond.

For the pond mouth of more than one year, fungi can be used, such as EM bacteria (E Nengjing) with algae probiotics, and cultivating bacteria and algae to adjust the water quality.

Generally, yellow-green water is better, followed by green water.

3. Regular feeding

When feeding, four fixed principles should be followed, namely timing, qualitative, quantitative, and fixed-point. In addition, the feeding amount should be adjusted reasonably according to the weather conditions.

For the pond where the seedlings were placed in the early stage, the lactic acid bacteria (water) can be properly mixed in the feed. Ruyi), which can effectively promote the growth rate and disease resistance of prawns.
